Locke – plein air oil painting

Locke - painting

This is the little town of Locke, Ca. just south of Sacramento.

The town was built by the Chinese around 1915 by the workers who dug the canals and sloughs so ships could sail all the way from the San Francisco Bay to Sacramento with people and goods.

The town is only a block long with the shops very close together. There are several homes behind the shops and Chinese gardens. A very interesting place to visit.
